Techiman City Boss kicks against 18-Clubs division one league
President of Techiman City FC, Charles Kwadwo Ntim popularly known as Micky Charles,has kicked against the idea by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to begin the process of reducing the Division one teams from 48 to 18.
The move to reduce the National Division One League from 48 to 18 teams was approved by Congress with the process set to begin according to the FA.
The Ghana FA on Thursday released a statement indicating that the transition will begin with the formation of a 5-member committee.
“Why are we planning to play 18-Clubs National Division One League while clubs keep complaining about hardship and lack of sponsorship? I feel the 18-Clubs national division one league is a non-starter”, he told OTEC Fm in Kumasi
