Our female footballers are getting impregnated-Women’s League Board chairperson
Female footballers in the country are being impregnated because there are no football activities, according to Women’s League Board chairperson Hillary Boateng.
Madam Boateng has lamented on the ill situation female players are currently going through since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic which has halted football in the country.
Just like any other football competition, the Women’s Premier League and FA Cup competition have all been suspended.
This has made female footballers available to men who have decided to take advantage of the players.
“This afternoon, unfortunately, I heard of something that has saddened me. One player has been impregnated by somebody,” Hillary Boateng said.
”She’s a very promising player. She got pregnant during this lock down. My only advice to the ladies is “please, if you have decided to be a footballer, you need to stay focused because probably the men who get you pregnant might put your future on a halt.”
It is however unknown when football will resume in the country. Many have called for the season to be cancelled due to the virus.
