“Let’s continue the league”-Ebenezer Ackahbi

Medeama SC youngster Ebenezer Ackahbi has emphasized that there is no need for football authorities in Ghana to cancel the Ghana Premier League season at this point in time.

The 2019-20 football season in Ghana was suspended in march by the Ghana Football Association [GFA] in line with a directive from the government that indicated that all public gatherings including sporting activities had been banned as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus [COVID-19]disease.

Several weeks later,the situation of the disease has far worsened with no clear indication of when it will get better.In line with that ,there have been mixed reactions on what should happen to the football season.

Giving  his take on West End Radio hard tackle with Samuel Enyan ,Ackahbi said the club owners are financially down and  they need the league to revive themselves.

“I  believe with good measures and proper planning in place we can continue the league,let continue to bring back the love again “,he told West End Radio.

‘We shouldn’t rush to end the league now”he added.

The youngster played 12 games  for Medeama in the Ghana Premier league ,scored 2 ,made 3 assists and won 2 MVP’s  award notable one against Hearts of Oak.

The Ghana FA continues to engage major stakeholders this week and will make an announcement on the fate of the football season next month.
