Samartex Shot stopper Nii Kalala wants Ghana Football season to Continue
Samartex fc young goalie Hammond Amon Nii Kalala says Ghana Premier league should not be cancelled or truncated.
There have being enormous controversies and arguments on whether Ghana Football season should be continued,cancelled or truncated following the deadly COVID-19 outbreak which has claimed over 300,000 lives globally.
The unprecedented pandemic has crippled many global economic activities as well as football leaving most football leagues to the abrupt end.
Nine countries in Africa have ended their leagues due to the pandemic.
However,the former Dunkwa United and Karela United goalkeeper wants Ghana Football Association to emulate Germany and Austria who have resolved to continue their respective leagues.
In an interview with West End Radio Sports show ” Hard Tackle ” he said, “we shouldn’t end the league because of the COVID-19 ,but we should continue ,I won’t opt for cancellation”
Samartex were in second position on the league log before it was halted.
Samartex are based in Samreboi in the Western region and play in Zone II of the National Division one league.
