Mohammed Abubakar born on January 2000 is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as defender and an attacking Midfielder for Ghana premier league side Karela United .

Early Life
Mohammed was born in Takoradi on January 2000.he grew up in Inchaban ,where he attended Inchaban Methodist Junior high school and completed his secondary education at Takoradi Secondary School.

Early Career
Mohammed Abubakar spent some seasons with a local youth team in his hometown before signing for Unicon FC at age of 16 as a holding Midfielder.

He was also a consistent figure in his school days with both Inchaban Methodist Primary and Takoradi Secondary School ( Tadisco) all in the Western region.

Karela United
Mohammed Abubakar joined Karela United in 2017 , a recommendation by Veteran Journalist Prof George Kuntu Blankson.
He was registered in the 2018 truncated Ghana premier league season but was unused through out the season as well as 2019 Normalization Competition.

In February 2020,Mohammed Abubakar made his Premier league debut against Berekum Chelsea(1:0) and second game as well against Hearts of oak ( 1:1).

Mohammed plays as defender ,attacking Midfielder,though he is more comfortable as a natural holding Midfielder.
Mohammed has being praised for his adaptability and ability to play wide,at the tip of a Midfielder diamond and centrally,offering flexibility.
