“Football with fans will be back soon” – Nana Addo
Ghana President Nana Akuffo Addo is confident ” football with fans will come back very soon” despite the chaos caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Domestic and continental club competitions were halted across Africa in mid-March due to the COVID-19 crisis and GPL 2019/20 was cancelled as well.
The head of state for the West African nation made this assurance on Skyy Power fm in Takoradi.
“I don’t think that this virus will last forever”
“I’m absolutely sure, personally, that good old football with fans will come back very soon,” he said.
Very soon football will be back, I don’t want to do anything to hurt Ghanaians amid the Covid 19 – Prez Nana Addo added.
According to report from the Ghana football Association, football is expected to resume in October.
