GPL would’ve been continued under me as President – Osei Palmer

The owner of National Division One League side Tema Youth, Winfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has added his voice on the decision with regards to the cancellation of the Ghana football season due to the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19.

Ghana football season was brought to an end following the rapid spread of the Coronavirus in the West African nation.

Meanwhile, the former presidential candidate of the Ghana football association in 2019 elections, believes the league would have been resumed or continued if he was the President.

” I would have given a comprehensive proposal to the government to be convinced on why football must resume” he told Angel Fm in Accra.

“The Ghana Premier league would have been resumed or continued if I were the president ”

Osei Kwaku Palmer and Ghana football Association are waiting for the final verdict from the Court of Arbitration in Sports on the case Palmer brought to the commission over his disqualification from the last year’s FA elections.

The former EXCO member of the FA was disqualified and was not eligible to go in for the final polls.
