SENIORITY: Fatau Dauda to give club’s armband to Asamoah Gyan
Legon Cities FC goalkeeper Fatau Dauda says he is ready to give the club’s armband to Ghana football legend Asamoah Gyan.
Ex-Ghana Black Stars shot-stopper disclosed that, there would be no problem handing over Legon Cities’ armband to his former Black Stars teammate Asamoah Gyan after his acquisition to the club on the transfer deadline day.
Gyan,34, who is nearing the twilight of his career completed a sensational switch to Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities on the transfer deadline day for a reported fee of $250,000 per a season in four years.
The 34-year-old signed one-year deal with Royals which is subject to renewal for four years.
“ Why not I will give it to me, if he request for it, what will need is teamwork,and happy he has joined this brand” he told Kumasi based Oyerepa Fm.
The Ghanaian top-flight is scheduled to start November 13, and Legon Cities will play as hosts to Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium.
