Thomas Partey to miss Arsenal clash against Leeds United
Ghana ace Thomas Partey will not be available for selection when Arsenal take on Leeds United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, in a pre-match interview, said the midfielder will not travel with the club to Elland Road due to injury.
Partey picked up thigh injury in Arsenal’s shock 3-0 defeat Aston Villa before the international break two weeks ago. The injury ruled him out of Black Stars 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Sudan.
Arsenal fans were confident of seeing him in action this weekend but they would have to wait for some time because their star signing is not ready.
No, he picked up an injury very early in the game [against Aston Villa], he tried to carry on and he wanted to play the second half and we knew it was a significant injury,” Arteta said.
