No Ghanaian female referee in FIFA’s list for 2023 Women’s World Cup

There will be no Ghanaian referee at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023 after failing to make the cut for the 19 pre-selected from the continent ahead of the competition, a statement issued by the Confederation Of Africa Football.

Among the 19 selected, there are 8 referees and 11 assistant referees.

They come from fifteen member associations of the African Football Confederation (CAF), and therefore all from CAF.

They are Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda), Lidya Tafesse Abebe (Ethiopia), Maria Rivet (Mauritius), Bouchra Karboubi (Morocco), Ndidi Patience Madu (Nigeria), Vincentia Amedome (Togo), Fatou Thioune (Senegal), Dorsaf Ganouati (Tunisia)

As for the 11 assistants, they are Mary Njoroge (Kenya), Lidwine Rakotozafinoro (Madagascar), Bernadettar Kwimbira (Malawi), Queency Victoire (Mauritius), Diana Chikotesha (Zambia), Mimisen Iyorhe (Nigeria), Fatiha Jermoumi (Morocco ), Fanta Kone (Mali), Carine Atezambong Fomo (Cameroon), Yara Atef Said Abdelfattah (Egypt).
