Former Black Stars hero expresses interest in Kotoko coaching job

Former Asante Kotoko and Black Stars player Malik Jabir has indicated his readiness to take charge of Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko following the exit of coach Maxwell Konadu.

The 76-year old  former coach believes he has what it takes to transform the fortunes of the porcupine warriors, he disclosed this during an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

“ I am ever ready for kotoko job, if the management wants me, am ever ready to serve kotoko anytime”

Kotoko have been hit by series of underwhelming results in recent days which resulted in the sacking of Maxwell Konadu.

Maxwell Konadu failed to guide the Kumasi-based side in their GPL game against Great Olympics.

“ Kotoko should appoint local coach not Foreign coach” Malik Jabir told Ashh FM.

However, Kotoko have appointed Johnson Smith as new head coach.
