Fast rising star, Richard Berko opens his Karela United account in Sharks humiliation.

Former Bekwai Youth Football Academy forward Richard Berko opened his goal scoring account for the Passioners yesterday as they humbled Sharks at CAM Park.

The youngster won the heart of Nzema football fanatics at the park after showing his exuberance and prowess.

Berko pulled levelled for the Passioners four minutes after former Hearts of Oak midfielder James Bissue thunderbolt drive from the free-kick has taken the visitors on the lead.

Super sub, Emmanuel Kwame Boateng gave Karela United the lead on the 85th minute of the game after he capitalized on an error from Elmina Sharks backline.

In-form forward, Diawisie Taylor grabbed his fifth of the season after converting a spot-kick to hand Karela United a 3:1 win.

Berko who had to wait till week 7 of the Ghana Premier League joined Karela United from Bekwai Youth Football Academy and notched 42 goals in 67 outings for the National Division One zone II outfits in four seasons.
