Kosta Papic condemned for ‘discrimination’
Kosta Papic has been slammed for ‘discrimination’ by Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak, who claim he was sacked in a heated press conference on Thursday.
Papic tendered his resignation on Tuesday which the official communication from the club stated was due to ‘personal reasons’ but reports in Ghana suggest it was due to a fallout with management.
Papic is said to have become disillusioned by the interference in his work during his second stint in charge, with the 20-time league champions now seemingly fallen into a state of turmoil.
The entire technical team has resigned over the past week as they languish 11th in the 18-team division and board member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe claims Papic was relieved of his duties due to a split he caused in the dressing room.
Club captain Fatawu Mohammed who enjoyed an incredible upturn in form with an important role in the team under Papic also backed the claims.
The thing about the favouritism is that some of the players felt they were ready to play matches but they were never given the chance,” Mohamed said.
