Ex-Ghana U-20 star joins Seidu Salifu King Faisal on four-month deal

Former Ghana U-20 World Cup star, Seidu Salifu has secured a deal with King Faisal until the end of the 2020/21 season.

The defensive midfielder, identified by his energetic displays for the Black Satellites at both the U-20 Afcon in Algeria and Turkey World Cup in 2013, was tipped for greatness but knee problems blighted his progress.

Salifu, who has been unattached for some time, had to undergo trials with King Faisal before winning the free-agent deal which will run for the next four months – till July 2021.

Now 27, the former Wa All Stars (present-day Legon Cities) player has enjoyed stints with Tunisian side Club Africain as well as Adana Demirspor and Ümraniyespor, both in Turkey.

The last time Salifu was in the news was when he gatecrashed the Black Stars ‘B’ final squad for the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations hosted by Ghana as an unattached player but was ruled out of the tournament 48 hours to kickoff after picking up a serious injury in training.
