C K Akonnor drops Diawisie Taylor & 11 others from Black Stars squad

Ghana head coach Charles Akonnor has dropped 13 players from his squad as he fine-tunes his side ahead of next month’s 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The Black Stars defeated Legon Cities FC 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium in a game legendary striker Asamoah Gyan scored the consolation goal for the Ghana Premier League side.
High-profile Ghana Premier League players who have been dropped from the squad include Medeama hot-cake Justice Blay as well as leading scorer Diawisie Taylor have both been dropped by the former Ghana international.
Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey has been dropped alongside Ibrahim Moro and 9 others.
King Faisal lethal forward Kwame Peprah would also have to pack bags and baggage as he has been dropped from the squad.
Mitchelle Otu, Joseph Agyei, Joseph Addo, Rashid Nortey, Yaw Annor Yamudeen Haruna as well as Konadu Yiadom of WAFA have all been dropped from the squad.
It is expected that Akonnor would name a handful of foreign-based player into the squad as he prepares to make the trip to the Southern African region.
