New owner confirms Proud United set for name change
Club owner and Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Honorable Dorcas Afo Toffey has revealed she intends to change the name of Proud United following her purchase of the National Division One club.
Hon Dorcas Afo Toffey had only just bought the status of Ghana’s Second tier side Proud United last week and expected to change the identity of the team to be called “Jomoro United Football Club”
Dorcas Afo Toffey in an interview told West End Radio, “We will stick in Nzema, we are in Nzema and I’m originally a Jomoran and I’m proud to keep that, and not for me but for the people of Jomoro and also for the diversity of the league all around the country”
“ Let’s welcome our new club, Jomoro United” She added.
Proud United are last on the league log with 6 points after 13 games.
