Black Stars defender Baba Rahman eyes Greek Cup with PAOK Thessaloniki
Ghana Black Stars defender Abdul Baba Rahman is targeting the Greek Cup with club PAOK Thessaloniki this season.
The 26-year-old joined PAOK on loan from English Premier League side, Chelsea, until the end of the current season.
Rahman has already made nine appearances and scored one goal for the side.
PAOK are out of contention for the league title – trailing league leaders, Olympiacos by 20 points after 27 matches played so far. However, the Ghanaian has set sights on reaching the final in the Greek Cup and hopefully win it.
“At this moment it’s difficult to say we can win the championship because Olympiacos is way far ahead and they have a good team,” he told footballmadeinghana.com, monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com
“We can see the team they played with against Arsenal recently in the Europa League.
“But PAOK is in the cup semi final so my prayer is that we make it to the final and Insha Allah hopefully win it and that will be like a perfect stay for me.”
