Ex-Police commander goes home today
The mortal remains of the late former Ellembelle District Police Commander Superintendent Thomas Bayor will be laid to rest today at his hometown in Jirapa-Douri of the Upper West Region.
This will be preceded by a state burial service at his hometown , climaxing a 3-day elaborate state funeral.
The burial service will be attended by the Various Regional Commanders in the Northern part including Western Region.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, the burial service is expected to attract hundreds of Ghanaians from across the region , with calls on many to follow the event live on West End Radio.
Ellembelle and police fraternity received the news of the sudden death of ex- Police commander Bayor with disbelief and sorrow on Saturday , Aprip 10, 2021, after a short illness.
Before then, he was the Ellembelle District Police Commander from January 2017 to May 2021.
He was 48.
