Kotoko coach Barreto confirms the departure of Brazilian forward Michael Vinicius
Asante Kotoko management have parted ways with Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius months after joining the Porcupine Warriors in early February, according to the head coach Mariano Barreto.
The 27-year old joined the two time African Champions on a two-and-a-half-year deal before the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko trainer Mariano Bareto ahead of their MTN FA Cup game against BYFA announced the termination of Vinicius’s contract.
“Michael Vinícius is no more with us. The club will make an official announcement on his exit in the coming days,” Barreto said after the game.
The Brazilian forward scored two goals in the matches he featured for the club.
He has not featured for the Kumasi-based club after their match-week 24 game against Ebusua Dwarfs.
