Samuel Boadu eyes GPL title after Hearts win over Kotoko
The head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu believes his side is on course to win the Ghana Premier League title after beating arch-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Daniel Afriyie Barnie scored the only goal of the match in the 66th minute to give the Phobians a three point lead on the league table with three games left to play.
Hearts have now picked 59 points after 31 matches played so far. Speaking after the game, coach Boadu is confident the club will break its trophy drought this year by winning the ultimate.
Hearts of Oak have failed to win the league since 2009.
”It is not going to be easy at all. We do respect all the Premier League clubs that we take match after match,” he told StarTimes in his post-match interview.
‘ I want to make history with them by winning the league for the first with them since 2009″
