WAFA plays down Karela’s poor run

West Africa Football Academy coach Prosper Nartey believes Karela United’s recent run of losses presents greater motivation for the Passioners to up their performance.

The two clubs meet at the Cape Coast in a very cagey encounter in week 33 of the Ghana Premier League.

Karela have stuttered with three straight losses, one against Dwarfs that recorded their  heaviest defeat in the league and the other against Liberty Professionals last weekend.

Though hopeful, Nartey is cautious as he guides WAFA to face his former side on Sunday.

“We ought to put things into right context”, Prosper Nartey said ahead of the game. ”
Nartey is demanding total focus from his side as he expects Karela to come out strongly.
“Karela have lost their last four matches and it could affect the confidence of the players. But we will take nothing for granted. I have a great deal of respect for Karela who have a rich tradition and are capable of bouncing back when least expected.
