Accra Lions earns historic promotion to the Ghana Premier League

Accra Lions rewrote their history books by earning promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time after their 3-1 win against Danbort FC on Sunday afternoon.

Dominic Nsobila opened the floor-gate for the visitors in the 29th minute after knocking the door on several occasions.

Oliver Amedor added to Accra Lions tally after four minutes played in the second half before Nsobila added his second of the day with five minutes left to end proceedings.

Danbort FC grabbed a consolation goal in the injury time.

The results took Accra Lions to the Premier League after six years of it’s foundation.

Accra Lions have booked their Premier League Football next season with Bibiani Gold Stars and Bofoakwa Tano with a game to end the National Division One season.
