The Ghana Premier League newcomers are set to announce the appointment of ex-Asante Kotoko assistant trainer, Johnson Smith, as the successor of coach Kobina Amissah who resigned earlier this month.
Gold Stars made it to the Ghana top flight league for the very first time this season after winning Zone II.
The miners will be part of the 18-clubs for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season which is scheduled to commence on October 29, 2021.
