Holy Royals call for support ahead of Women’s Premier League play off

Players of Basake Holy Royals have called for support for their participation in the Women’s League Play off slated for this month.

The young ladies recently won the Western Region Zone of the Women’s Division One League after defeating their Fiase Golden Royals counterpart by 3-0 in Tarkwa.

The players in an interview with West End Radio Sports host, expressed their gratitudes and called for support ahead of the big game.

This is as a result of the financial challenges facing the team which has been selected to represent Western Region in the promotion play offs.

Holy Royals will be drawn against Greater Accra, Central and Volta Regional winners for the Ghana Women’s Premier League slot for Southern belt.

The qualifiers are scheduled to take place in September at the Cape Coast Stadium.

“I am more focused on the game, however we will need financial assistance to cushion our burden, because even the men solicit for funds, how much more the women who are handicapped when it comes to finance, we need support to push us”Ernestina Kwofie told West End Radio.

“We need support from individuals and companies around”Happy Drafo also told West End Sports.

“ We are ready and a small push will motivate us” Chelsea Nana Yaa Danquah also noted.
Meanwhile the team has started a public campaign to raise funds to finance the team’s participation in the competition.
