Johnson Smith has parted ways with Asante Kotoko as assistant coach
The 58-year-old is leaving the club following the expiration of his contract, having joined the Porcupine Warriors in October 2019 from Karela United FC.
Coach Smith joined the Porcupine Warriors after guiding Karela United to the final of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
He was the assistant to Norwegian trainer Kjetil Zachariassen before Maxwell Konadu took over.
The experienced gaffer was named interim head coach of the club in December 2020 before the appointment of Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto.
Kotoko have appointed Marvin David Ocloo and John Eduafo to be the first and second assistants respectively to head coach Dr Proper Narteh Ogum.
