Karela United pays tribute to Senator David Brigidi

Karela United football club have paid tribute to their former president, Senator David Cobbinah Brigidi Saigha.

Mr. Brigidi founded Karela United and was the man behind the club’s promotion to the Ghana Premier League in 2017.

He passed away three years ago in London at age 56 after battling a short illness.

He is credited with the growth of Nzema Football with his vast contributions in the game.

His legacy stretches beyond Ghana, he was a senator in Bayelsa state Central Constituency in the Southern part of Nigeria.

He was voted into power on May 29,1999 and left office on April 2007. On his appointment he was named the chairman of the Senate Committee on petroleum,also he was a member of other Committees ; Public accounts, Environmental, Establishment Labour, Federal Character, Social Development & Sports Economic Affairs and INEC.

He was engaged in private businesses with interest in Oil and Gas, Tourism, Aviation, Consultancy,Human Capital Development training and Legal Services.

Some of his businesses includes; Karela Oil and Gas Nigeria, Karela Hotel and Resort Ghana, Karela Oil and Gas Ghana,Re-Routine Air Limited, Adef Energy Services, Shores and Savannah (Law Partners) and South Field Petroleum.

He sat on the board of all these companies as Chairman.
