Karela United have chosen defender Kwodwo Addae as new captain of the club ahead of the 2021/22 season which began on Friday.
The defender who renewed his contract with the club last month will take over the team’s leadership role from Godfred Yeboah who terminated his contract with the club at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Appointment of new leaders became necessary following the departure of Godfred Yeboah and deputy captain Diawisie Taylor who has joined Egyptian side Future FC on a 4-year deal.
Kwodwo Addae is currently the longest serving player at Karela United having joined them in 2017 from Bibiani Goldstars.
