Former Ghana international Fatau Dauda says Black Stars needs to prepare very hard if they want to make it in next year’s Fifa World Cup tournament in Qatar.
Ghana advanced to the next round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the expense of South Africa on Sunday.
Milovan Rajevac’s outfit came into the match three points behind South Africa in the Group G standings but knew that a win by any margin would be enough to secure Ghana’s progression to the final round of qualifiers.
Ghana were awarded an early penalty after Rushine De Reuck fouled Daniel Amartey in the box.
Dede Ayew who made his 100th appearance stepped forward and duly converted the spot-kick by sending Ronwen Williams the wrong way.
Ahead of the playoff, Former Black Stars goalkeeper has urged the players to work and prepare for the final round if Ghana want to qualify.
” We have won although, but we need to prepare hard if we want to qualify” he noted.
“Playing against top opponent won’t be easy, so we must prepare hard” he added.
