WORLD NEWS: Chelsea star ‘agrees’ to join Real Madrid

Chelsea are reportedly set to lose one of their stars, with the player having seemingly reached an agreement to join Real Madrid.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Blues had potentially wrapped up their first signing ahead of the January transfer window in the form of Fenerbahce defender Adam Szalai.

Despite Thomas Tuchel’s efforts to boost his defence, however, the German tactician may be facing a massive setback with the ever-present Antonio Rudiger seemingly edging closer to an exit from Stamford Bridge, according to The Independent.

With the 28-year-old’s current contract expiring in June 2022, he has become a vital cog for Chelsea since Tuchel arrived in London in January this year, earning plaudits for his performances in the Blues’ triumphant 2020/21 UEFA Champions League-winning campaign especially.

Despite Rudiger seemingly thriving on the pitch for the club, it is claimed that his brother Sahr Senesie, who also acts as his agent, has met with both Real and Bayern Munich in recent weeks to negotiate a move, with Los Blancos now believed to have an informal agreement in place for the defender, although nothing has been signed at this point.
