Medeama SC speedster Ebenezer Ackahbi scored a last minute goal to secure victory for his club on Monday afternoon as they defeated Ashgold 1-0 in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League week 11.
In the first game in 2022 yesterday which happens to be Ackahbi’s fourth appearance of the season, the club visited Ashgold at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.
At the end of the match, The Yellow and Mauves annexed all three points thanks to Ebenezer Ackahbi last ditch strike on the 92nd minute.
The 18-year old replaced the team captain Joseph Tetteh Zutah on the 62nd minute and started to pile lot of misery on the defence of the Miners.
After yesterday’s win, Medeama SC have climbed to 5th on the Ghana Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Ashgold are sitting on the 14th position with just 12 points from the first 11 matches in the season.
