Milovan Rajevac confident Ghana can prove doubters wrong at AFCON 2021

Ghana Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac is optimistic his team can surprise most sports pundits and doubters despite their 1-0 defeat to Morocco on Monday in the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana went into the tournament in search of their fifth AFCON title which has eluded the West African giants for 40-years.

According to Milovan Rajevac, the Black Stars not considered favorites by the book makers could be a good omen for the team.

The 68-year-old believes this will lift the pressure off his team as they look forward to prove their doubters wrong.

“Nobody believes us. Nobody rates us as favorites for this tournament but we are here to prove them wrong. It’s good for us”, he said at the pre-match conference before the Morocco game.

The Black Stars are in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
