DOL 2021/22: Nzema Kotoko tame noisy rivals Holy Stars

Nzema Kotoko redeemed their selves after a heart breaking 3-0 defeat at their own backyard to Ghana Premier League strugglers Elmina Sharks in the round 32 of the Mtn FA Cup as they beat beat city rivals Basake Holy Stars 3-1 on matchday 10 of the National Division One League at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena in Ampain.

The Red Armies of Nzema football produced a strong performance in the first 45 minutes.

Forward Pius Yeboah Asante gave the homers the lead on the 22nd minute.

Nzema Kotoko doubled their goals advantage on the 46th minute through Pius Yeboah Asante.

The young star scored Nzema Kotoko’s third goal of day which happens to be his first hat-trick of the season on the 48th minute.

Holy Stars tried to stage an unlikely comeback as Richmond Somiah headed home to pull a goal back on the 68th minute.

The result extends Holy Stars poor run to two games without a victory as Nzema Kotoko remains 4th on the Zone II league log.
