Kudus is gradually being eased to full fitness after months away from the game due to an injury he suffered national assignment during a FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier with South Africa. The injury eventually ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon this year.
Kudus started the game and featured for 45 minutes after John Heitingaβs side who needed second half goals to secure the win.
Kudus was also an unused substitute during Ajaxβs Eredivisie win over Heracles last weekend.
