Egypt forward Ramadan Sobhi has been ruled of their upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifying playoff games against Senegal.
The Pyramids star picked a knee injury in their Caf Confederation Cup 1-1 draw against CS Sfaxien on Sunday.
They will need to do without their star player in their quest to top Group A as he was substituted after 39 minutes because of the injury.
The 25-year-old underwent medical tests upon his return to Cairo and doctors revealed he has a blood clot in the bones around his right knee.
Sobhi will immediately start a two-week recovery program in order to return to full health.
