Sam Johnson backs Otto Addo to succeed as Black Stars coach

Former Black Stars defender, Samuel Johnson has thrown his weight behind the newly appointed Black Stars coach Otto Addo to succeed ahead of the Afcon qualifiers and Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The former Hearts of Oak defender also warned stakeholders of the team to give Otto Addo the free hand to manage the team to perfection.

“I am very happy for his appointment and happy the Ghana FA took bold decision to maintain him and his technical staff” he said in an interview with Joy Sports.

“But I strongly believe he will succeed at Black Stars” he added.

The Ghana Football Association has announced the appointment of Coach Otto Addo to continue as the man in charge of the national team, Black Stars.

In addition, the football Association in a statement yesterday also confirmed that the German-trained tactician and Dutch born star George Boateng and Didi Dramani as his two deputies.
