Asante Kotoko captain Abdul Ismail Ganiu has expressed his delight to lead the Porcupine Warriors to their first league title in 7-years.
The stalwart defender has been impressive this season despite early injuries.
Asante Kotoko will be crowned the champions of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League on Sunday and their hardworking defender reveals he can’t wait to lead such a big club for their first league title since 2014.
“It’s a great feeling to lead such a great and wonderful club” Asante Kotoko” the former Karela United defender told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
” It will be a great achievement to lift the trophy on Sunday” he added.
Following his impressive spell since he joined the club, Ismail also made his first debut for the Black Stars when they drew with South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications.
The 25-year joined Asante Kotoko on a 2-year deal in 2019.
