Emmanuel Akuoku bids farewell to Aduana Stars with heartfelt open letter

Aduana Stars captain Emmanuel Akuoku has finally bid good bye to active football after serving the Dormaa-based club for the past 15 years.

The 39-year-old experienced defender in a letter he sent to the club on Monday was grateful to the management, technical team and teammates.

During his stay with the ‘Ogya’ boys, Akuoku won the Ghana Premier League twice in the 2009/2010 and 2007 season and also won the 2008 Super Cup.

Popularly known as ‘Obubulebu’ he spent six months with Kuwaiti side Burgan SC but e returned to Aduana Stars in December 2019.

Akuoko joined the club in September 2007 and was as part of the squad that won the Ghana Division One League and got promoted to the Ghana Premier League in August 2009, the first time in the club’s history.
