Karela’s CAM Park astro turf costs GNPC Gh¢127,000-PIAC reports

According to the Public Interest and Accountability Committee ( PIAC) annual report, Crosby Awuah Memorial Park astro turf which was constructed in 2020 under the GNPC Foundation’s Sports Development program was constructed at a cost of Gh¢127,708.53.

According to the report, the most expensive edifices were constructed at a cost of Gh¢319,813 while the cheapest located at Tarkwa cost Gh¢49,860.

Initially, the work on the CAM Park was expected to cost an estimated value of $1.89 Million which will have a facelift of the stands as well as other facilities.

The 2021 Annual Report is in fulfilment of PIAC’s statutory obligation under the Petroleum Revenue Management Act, 2011 (Act 815), as amended by Act 893, to publish Semi-Annual and Annual Reports.

The Report is a reconciliation of data supplied by stakeholder institutions, and an independent assessment of the collection, management, and use of the country’s petroleum revenues for the period January – December 2021.
