REPORTS: Prosper Ogum leaves his role as Asante Kotoko head coach

The head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has resigned from his role as the coach of the team, according to multiple reports from the media.

Narteh Ogum is said to have taken the decision to resign during a meeting between the technical team and the club’s management on Wednesday, July 20 because of some happenings in the club.

Having been appointed prior to the start of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and led the club to their first league title since the 2013/14 season, the former WAFA boss has called off his marriage with the Porcupine Warriors.

The gaffer amassed 67 points from 34 games as the Porcupine Warriors beat Medeama to the league title.

The Kumasi based club will participate in the CAF Champions League next season.

Though Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum has made the decision of resigning but talks are still ongoing between the management and the coach to review his decision.
