Umar Bashiru: Karela United confirms Kotoko approach, but no deal yet

Karela United Director of Operations Lawrence Cudjoe Saforo, has confirmed they have been approached by Kumasi Asante Kotoko for the services of highly skilled midfielder Umar Bashiru but denied signing any agreement with them.

Umar, 25, after netting 15 times in last seasons Premier League is been chased by the two biggest clubs in the country, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

In a private interview on West End Radio Sports, Lawrence Cudjoe said, “We have been contacted by Kotoko for Umar Bashiru, but no agreement has been stricked”.

He however stated that, Umar Bashiru had served the team with loyalty and would be allowed to move when the right offer is made for him.

Karela United will resume pre-season camping on Saturday ahead of the GHALCA Top 6 competition.
