The Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Hon.Dorcas Affo-Toffey is in partnership with Ghana Gas and Wembley Sports Construction Limited to construct ultra modern sports facility at Elubo in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Company seeks to provide support to communities in need and to assist development in projects affected areas of the economy.
The astro-turf pitch, which is the first of its kind in the municipal, will have a modern FIFA standard pitch, a car park, fencing, floodlights, a changing room, 500 seater spectator stand among others when completed.
Hon.Affo- Toffey, in an interactions with her constituents expressed the hope that the facility, when completed, would help develop the necessary talents, foster unity among the people and help improve the economy of the community.
AstroTurf’s new phenomenon continues to play a major role in the restoration of grassroots and community football. Many communities have been beneficiaries of the One Constituency, One AstroTurf Project launched by Wembley Sports Construction Company Limited (WSCCL), yet many have also been left out in the provision of the modern infrastructure, but through the good relationship between the Member of Parliament of the area and Ghana Gas, Jomoro will have first astro turf at Elubo.
The project is expected to be completed this year.
