Former GFA Presidential aspirants and the President of Akim Tafo Susubribi SC George Afriyie has revealed his outfit cannot secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League under the current Ghana Football Association led by Kurt Okraku.
The Tafo-based club currently sit 9th position on the Division One League Zone 3 table after 23 matches into the campaign.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Sompa FM sighted by Footballghana.com, the former Vice President of the Ghana FA said he does not see why his team can secure qualification to the top-flight under Kurt Okraku.
“For Susubribi, everything is okay. It’s a project and we just have to stay relevant in the football industry”
“First of all, you need to set a target and see if it is achievable or realistic. From where I sit and from enemy point of view, I don’t see how my team can qualify. It is because certain people have been targeted as enemy, so how can you qualify” he said.
Afriyie, a former Ghana FA Presidential candidate is expected to challenge Kurt Okraku in the upcoming elections.
Okraku’s four-year mandate will elapse in October this year.
