Karela United have suspended Philip Flamini pending an investigation and final court decision after the midfielder was charged by court with defilement and sexual assault.
The Aiyinase-based club has responded quickly with a statement of their own confirming the player’s suspension from the club.
A statement from the club the club reads;
The 24-year old, who joined Karela United from Sekondi Hasacaas in 2021, has played a full part in Karela’s pre-season and played 6 games during the first round.
However, the winger who has just few months to run out of contracts will now be unavailable for playing time for the foreseeable future after being remanded for defilement.
The winger has been remanded into custody by the Ellembelle District Court in the Western Region for allegedly defiling a 13-year old school girl.
