Ghana Premier League side Karela FC’s winger, Philip Flamini, will appear in court on Tuesday, May 4, 2023, after he has been remanded in police custody after being accused of defiling a 13-year-old girl.
According to our reporter Solomon Dominic in Aiyinase, the incident allegedly occurred on Saturday, April 29, and upon investigations, the said player denied the act, but further investigations revealed the player was guilty until the law courts found him guilty.
The 25-year-old will appear at the Ellembelle District Court in the Western Region, and upon thorough investigations, paralegal and social welfare advocate Jonas Kabutey confirmed the incident on West End Radio Morning show.
“The 13-year-old did very well by reporting the incident to the father despite the persistent pressure of the culprit, and this is not the only incident in the area. If I tell you what my investigations have revealed, you will be surprised.”
The club is set to release an official statement on their position. Karela who is placed 11th with 38pts face Aduana Stars on Monday at 3pm ahead the court day.
