Exclusive: Richard Ofori set to leave Orlando Pirates

Ghanaian international Richard Ofori is on his way out at Orlando Pirates after spending three years with the club, according to reports by South African leading website Kick-off.

The former Black Stars goalkeeper’s pending departure from the Orlando Pirates has been attributed to what has happened through the three years that he has spent at the club.

Ofori has been battling with series of injuries since November 2022 and missed out on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for Ghana.

According to reports, Pirates have agreed mutual agreement with the Ghanaian goalkeeper following an unsuccessful discussion regarding his contract renewal last month, meanwhile Orlando Pirates are in advanced talks to sign Ugandan goalkeeper Jamal Salim to replace Richard Ofori.

Since joining the club in 2020, the enterprising goalkeeper has made 55 appearances, keeping 28 clean sheet and conceding 35 goals in the process.

The 29 year old joined the Soweto giants in October 2020 on a three year deal.
