Real Tamale United Communications Director, Mohammed Baako Alhassan, has disclosed why the team’s bus has been designed with the name of former player David Abagna.
According to him, the club decided to honor David Abagna after his record transfer fee move from RTU to Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman in January.
” We wanted to honor him as a club, because of his numerous contribution towards the club”.he stated.
He confirmed this exclusively to Happy Sports following trending images of the RTU bus that surfaced on the internet.
Sudanese champions Al Hilal Omdurman completed the signing of Ghana midfielder David Abagna Sandan in a permanent deal from Real Tamale United this year.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder signed a three-year contract with the Sudanese side for an undisclosed amount.
The highly-rated footballer scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists in 16 appearances for RTU.
Abagna was also impressive in the Ghana league since the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign with three goals in 8 matches before his move RTU reveals why team’s bus is branded with the name of ex-player David Abagna Sudan.
He is the second Ghanaian player in the Al Hilal squad after former defender Imoro Ibrahim who signed for the club in September from Asante Kotoko SC.
