Nations FC took a significant step towards securing a spot in the 2023/24 Betpawa Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Pacific Heroes at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai on Monday.
The team extended their winning streak to nine matches and recorded their 19th victory of the season thanks to a first-half goal from striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie.
The win propelled Nations FC to 63 points, seven points ahead of second-placed Daboase Skyy, who have played one game less.
With only three games remaining in the season, Nations FC now controls their own destiny. They need just two more wins to top Zone Two and secure their place in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League for the first very first time in their history , regardless of other results.
