Real reason De Bruyne told Pep to ‘shut up!’ revealed?

With Kelvin De Bruyne having been spotted angrily telling his manager to “shut up” during Man City’s clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday, the reason behind his behavior has seemingly been revealed.

The English giants booked their spot in the UEFA champions league final in empathic fashion when they handed Real 4-0 mauling at the Etihad Stadium earlier this week to advance 5-1 on aggregate ahead of the reigning champions.

While the scoreline may suggest it was a perfect evening for the Citizens, the game produced a noteworthy moment between Guardiola and De Bruyne.

In the second half, the Spanish boss was seen frantically instructing the Belgium international to pass the ball, but after the playmaker lost possession, he responded in anger, screaming, Shut up! shut up! at his manager.

While this raised eyebrows when it initially occured, the situation was seemingly quickly resolved as the pair shared a warm embrace in the 84th minute when the attacking midfielder was substituted off, with Guardiola later explained that he was frustrated with the player loosing the ball several times.

City are believed to be aware of the former Chelsea star’s personal situation and are understood to be keeping the matter under wraps so as not to affect the rest of their season- they are still in contention to win a treble.
