Bayern Munich have been crowned Bundesliga champions for an 11th consecutive season after a 2-1 win over Cologne to snatch the title away from Borussia Dortmund.

Jamal Musiala scored Bayern’s 89th minute winner as Thomas Tuchel’s side snatched the title by the tightest of margins on a day dramatic final day.

Borussia Dortmund missed the chance to become Bundesliga champions and ending Bayern Munich’s decade-long reign as title holder after falling to a 2-2 draw at home to Mainz.

The Yellow and Black team had the title in their hands at the Signal Iduna Park on the final day but Mainz were quick to settle into their role as party poopers.

Mainz took the lead after 15 minutes as Andreas Hanche-Olsen squeezed home from close range, but Dortmund had a near immediate chance to pull themselves level from the spot.

Sebastien Haller’s penalty kick was saved by Finn Dahmen and when Karim Onisiwo made it 2-0 soon after, the hosts were seeing their title hopes vanish right in front of them.

Raphaël Guerreiro pulled one back in the second half to give Dortmund hope and Niklas Süle equalised deep into injury-time but it was too little, too late.
