Nations Football Club Is a newly promoted Ghana Premier League side based in Abrankese, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The club can trace its rich history as Bekwai Youth Football Academy ( BYFA) back in 1996 as year of establishment and was the only indigenous second tier club in the Amansie East Municipality since 1958 when football became active in Ghana.

Formed as a colts club in 1996 with over 300 talented football kids scouted to showcase their talents.
The club was then owned and run by Divine Kyei and Nana Kyei Boadu, (the two sons of Dr. Kwame Kyei ( Board Member of Asante Kotoko FC).
Their transition started back in early 2000’s following their promotion to Division Two League.

And eventually qualified to the National Division One League as Ashanti Regional Division Two champions on April 30, 2016.
They made thier maiden debut in the Division One League on Sunday February 17, 2017.
During the club’s journey from colts to the Division Two League, many players came along who ended up playing for top clubs in Ghana.

On October 7, 2022 Asante Kotoko board chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei acquired 100% stakes in the lower tier side, Bekwai Youth Football Academy. And reportedly paid a whooping Ghc200,000.00 ( $30,000) to the owners of the club to acquired the full ownership.

ABRANKESE PARK (DR. KWAME KYEI SPORTS COMPLEX)
As your most reliable portal confirmed on May 23, 2022, Dr. Kwame Kyei bought the 12,000 seater Anane Boateng Stadium now Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex for reported fee of $1.7M USD.
The multi-purpose stadium located at Abrankese in the Ashanti Region was the home venue for Kessben FC before it was renamed Medeama SC.
It is used mostly for football matches and serve as a gathering grounds for thousands of people. The stadium holds 12,000 spectators opened in 2007 and now one of the best sports complexes in Ghana which hosted FA Cup final game, Ghana Premier League, and the final of the Women’s Premier League .

GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE QUALIFICATION :
On May 21, 2023,
Nations FC secured their first-ever promotion to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after beating WAFA 3-2 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
The Abrankese based club achieved this historic feat after winning zone two of the Division One League with one game to spare.
CORONATION MATCH
Nations FC will be crowned champions of Zone Two on Sunday.
The Coronation ceremony for Nations FC will take place at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex, Abrankese where they will play Asokwa Deportivo on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
They have recorded 21 wins, 6 draws and 2 defeats and amassed 69 points with the final round of matches set to come off this weekend.

They currently hold a 9-point advantage over second placed Skyy FC Daboase who are on 60 points with one game to end the season.
